Removing Screed in Old Buildings

We’re here to show you how to do it easily, quickly, and without a jackhammer. Save time and money by removing screed effortlessly.

Removing screed made easy: With BETONAMIT®, the old screed floor is efficiently broken down into manageable pieces without heavy machinery or loud noise. Ideal for renovation projects like installing underfloor heating.

Applying BETONAMIT® is easy

  • Drill holes into the screed, ideally with a diameter of 30 - 40 mm and a spacing between holes equal to 10 times the diameter of the holes.
  • Mix the BETONAMIT® powder with clean, cold water until you achieve a flowing, homogeneous mixture.
  • Pour the mixture into the clean and dry holes, ensuring that the entire processing time does not exceed 5 minutes.
  • After a reaction time of several hours (between 2 and 72 hours, depending on temperature), BETONAMIT® develops such an extreme expansion pressure that any rock - regardless of its hardness - or reinforced concrete is effectively broken apart.
  • Your screed floor will then be reduced to many small pieces that are easy to remove.
